Supported Independent Living (SIL)
MSJ understand that one of the most important factors for people with disabilities is having the freedom and opportunity to live semi-independent with on-hand support available.
Our range of properties are fully furnished, well maintained, clean and generally located close to shopping centres and other community and transport facilities that participants may need to access.
If you are looking for SIL accommodation, we will assess your personal needs, goals and mobility requirements to determine which of our properties will best suit.
Respite Accommodation (STA)
MSJ have a number of respite and STA accommodation options that just might be the right choice for you to escape the routines and pressures of everyday life. When you stay with MSJ for respite, our staff will assist you with any medical or specialists appointments you need to attend, we will assist you to visit family and friends with all meals included during your stay.
We engage with you in activities of your choice, whether that’s going shopping, watching a movie, going for a swim or just lying under a tree reading a book, the choice is yours. Our respite service is a great opportunity to trial our services if you’re looking for SIL options or you can just visit and enjoy leaving our accommodation feeling refreshed and relaxed, ready to take on new challenges.
Community Access (CA)
These services are vital for participants to ensure they are able to access and engage within their local community. For MSJ participants, these services may require our team members to provide regular transport and support to attend medical appointments, buy groceries, attend job interviews or community funded activities. It may even include visits to friends and family. MSJ work with you to organise and design the activities you need, to align with your goals. We can help make these routines easier and help you stay connected, not only to services but community too.
In Home Care/Domestic Tasks
Your home is your castle, so let MSJ support you without having to leave the comfort and familiarity of your surrounds. In home care helps maintain your independence and adds the extra benefit of having help on hand for any household tasks that you might need assistance with, freeing you up to spend more time on your interests and hobbies. We will work with you to determine what your needs are and how we can best help.

Support Coordination
The role of the Support coordinator in many cases is sometimes misunderstood and often undervalued, it is an important function given many new participants to the NDIS system are searching for guidance and answers to questions that may be difficult to find let alone understand.
Support Coordination aims to simplify the journey for each participant based on your needs, MSJ pride ourselves on being pro-active, responsive and highly visible in local and remote communities always available to ask how we can help. MSJ offer two levels of support coordination to assist you
Level 1: Support Connection
This level of coordination is purposely designed to help participants understand and implement their plan, developing their capacity to engage and navigate the systems of supports available to them and become more aware of the purpose of the funded support.
At MSJ, we can help you to develop confidence and a greater understanding of your NDIS plan, how to maximise the utilisation of your NDIS funds and ensure you are receiving the necessary supports.
Support Connection includes, but is not limited to:
- Understand the Plan,
- Connect with Supports and Services,
- Establish Supports,
- Coach, Refine, Reflect; and
- Report to the NDIA.
Level 2: Coordination of Supports
Coordination of Supports delivers more in-depth assistance to participants to help direct their lives and not just their support services. The specific focus here is to assist participants build and maintain a reliable and consistent network of formal and informal supports. MSJ works with you to understand your level of funding available, clearly outline what is expected of the services, and how you want this designed. This may also include coaching participants to develop resilience in their network of providers
Coordination of Supports includes, but is not limited to:

- Crisis: Planning, Prevention, Mitigation and Action,
- Build Capacity and Resilience
